Your NFL week, slot by slot
Think of an NFL week as five TV slots. Thursday Night Football opens it at 8:15 PM ET on Prime Video. Sunday has two afternoon slots, 1:00 PM ET and then 4:05 or 4:25 PM ET, and that is where most of the league plays. Sunday Night Football follows on NBC at 8:20 PM ET, and Monday Night Football on ESPN closes the week at 8:15 PM ET.
Some weeks break the mould. International games in places like London and Germany usually kick off on Sunday morning in the US. After the last college regular-season games in December, Saturdays get NFL games too, and recent seasons have had Christmas games on Netflix. Whatever the slot, the game sits on this page under its date.
Market rules on Sunday afternoon
Sunday afternoons belong to CBS and FOX, and your local affiliates decide which of their games you get, normally the nearest team. Every other game is out of market for you, which is why so many fans go hunting for a stream at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. The Thursday, Sunday night and Monday games are national, so the whole country sees the same matchup.
The official answers for out-of-market fans are NFL Sunday Ticket (sold through YouTube) and NFL RedZone, which cuts live to every scoring chance across the afternoon.
Season at a glance
32 teams, 17 games each, 18 weeks: that is the regular season, from September into early January, with one bye week per team. Fourteen teams make the playoffs. The top seed in the AFC and in the NFC rests on Wild Card weekend, then the Divisional round and after it the conference title games decide who plays in the February Super Bowl.
From about the middle of the season, the league can swap a better matchup into Sunday night. Because we rebuild the list every minute, a flexed game moves here once the league confirms it.
Getting the most from a game page
Tap a matchup to open its page: both teams, the stadium, kickoff in the time zone set on your device and as many as three links. Most links land about an hour before kickoff, and the national prime-time games usually get theirs earlier. Games that are on now carry a LIVE tag and the score; finished games keep their final score for a while before they leave.
The links lead to players on other sites, and MethStreams itself keeps no video. If one stutters, go to the next. Our buffering checklist covers the rest, including what to change on a VPN, and the NFL game day guide explains the slots in more depth.
