Fifteen games, one long day
Baseball plays nearly every day from spring to autumn, and a full slate is fifteen games. Afternoon games begin shortly after 1:00 PM at the ballpark and night games shortly after 7:00 PM there, so one day can stretch from lunchtime on the East Coast to past 1:00 AM ET, when the last West Coast game ends. We sort by first pitch within each day, in the time zone set on your device.
Weather moves baseball more than any other sport here. A rain delay leaves the game where it is on the list. A rainout disappears and returns on its makeup date, often as one half of a doubleheader.
Regular season and October
The 162-game regular season lasts from the end of March to the end of September, and spring training games show up in February and March when our sources include them. Twelve clubs reach the postseason. In each league, the two best division winners get a bye through the Wild Card Series, which is best of three, and wait for the Division Series, which is best of five. The League Championship Series and the World Series are both best of seven.
We only add a postseason game only when it will definitely be played, so an "if necessary" game appears after the series gets that far.
Broadcasts
Day to day, most games are on a team's regional network. National games are blacked out locally, and MLB.TV carries games from outside your market, with the same local blackout. FOX has the World Series. In October one League Championship Series goes to FOX and FS1 and the other to TBS and truTV, so the channel depends on which series you follow.
Two broadcasts per game is normal in baseball, one for each club, so a game page here may list two links with different announcers.
Some low-cost extras are worth knowing: MLB.TV's free game each day with a free account, team radio streams on club websites, and the pitch-by-pitch Gameday tracker.
Doubleheaders
Each game of a doubleheader gets its own row. In a split doubleheader both games have fixed times. In a traditional one, game two begins about thirty minutes after game one ends, so its time here is our estimate until then.
Using the list
Yesterday, today and tomorrow are shown, with live games at the head of that day along with the score and the inning. Links go up a little before first pitch. If one fails, the buffering checklist goes through the fixes.
